When I stepped outside on a whim, it was already evening.
Inside my wallet were just a few lonely coins.
Even so, I spent 500 yen on okonomiyaki,
1,800 yen on a haircut,
and bought an apple for 200 yen and tea for 60 yen at the greengrocer.
My wallet was completely empty.
Yet my head felt light, my stomach full,
and the apple from Azumino was eaten to the core—leaving only the stem and seeds.
Nothing was left.
And still, I found myself thinking: this is enough.
—An evening of a bonpu.
