Lately, I’ve stopped buying games to pile up in my backlog. Even when sales notifications pop up, I no longer feel that old rush of excitement, that urge to grab them all. Is this growth? Or simply aging?
I’ve come to realize that mental energy is a finite resource. If I spread it too thin—on every game, every book, every movie—it runs out quickly. Better to use the limited time and energy I have on what’s right in front of me.
And yet, sometimes I wonder: “Will I end my life without becoming anyone at all?” …Well, if that’s the case, so be it. The life of an ordinary person was never meant to be perfect. Nor does it need to be.
So, simply… today as well: Namu Amida Butsu.
